Homeiown.com has a new look!

To everyone who’s been wondering what on Earth has happened to Home I Own – it’s gone through a complete makeover. We reckoned it was about time this popular, unique, independent real estate blog became faster, easier to navigate, more intuitive – and much nicer to look at. A lot of work has been put in, a lot of thought, and the main goal was to simplify its interface and make your reading more enjoyable.

So, what’s new? Well, in a few words:

1. All the freshest posts are on the homepage. If their snippets make you want to read the rest – click the ‘Read more’ link. Intuitive? Heck yea! :)

2. Our new true blue navigation bar will take you anywhere you want to go. Click on READ and choose the topic you want to read about. Is it “BUYING A HOUSE”? Just click on it and you’ll see all the tips we ever wrote for prospective home buyers.

3. Don’t have the time or patience to look for a particular article? Type a keyword in the search box (e.g “making an offer” or “breaking a lease”), located in the blue nav bar, and you’ll get a list of articles closely related to the keyword.

4. Wondering what others are reading? There’s a list of most popular articles in the right sidebar, waiting for you to read and comment on.

5. You have quite a few ways to connect with Home I Own through social networks or RSS, and if you subscribe to our articles via email (through the subscription form in the right sidebar) – you will receive a whole House Hunting Kit, absolutely free.

These are just the most noticeable features of the new and improved Home I Own.com – but I am sure you will discover the rest as you go.

I can’t wait for your feedback, recommendations for further improvements and general reaction – so please take a moment to leave a comment (hey, that even rhymes!) and tell me what you think.
